We are actively recruiting for a talented Senior Medical Editor. If you are currently a Medical Editor/Senior Editor with ambitions of moving up in your career into a Managing Editor role, this is a great step on the career path for you. You will be editing copy, managing Editors and making sure that high quality work is delivered to pharmaceutical clients. The ideal candidate is a digitally-savvy, versatile editor with experience in planning, reporting, writing and editing pharmaceutical copy in print as well as across digital and social media platforms. You will possess well-honed editing and rewriting skills, understand how to tell a story and engage audiences, know the ins and outs of working on client accounts and the nuances of medical editing, and possess a keen ability of how to optimally direct yourself and the efforts of others. You feel at home leading and coaching others, but you never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and get in the trenches. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications or relevant scientific field 3+ years’ experience as an editor with increasing responsibility 2+ years’ experience in medical/pharmaceutical editing 1+ years’ experience in an advertising agency environment 1-2 years’ experience managing others (either directly or indirectly) Proficient in AMA style Extremely detail-oriented and organized with superior editing skills Excellent written and communication skills Benefits Healthcare, dental and vision insurance 401(k) with match Life insurance, short and long-term disability Casual work environment Fully stocked kitchen in office
