We are seeking a hands-on Service Technician to join our Schiller Park, IL team. This full-time, in-house position is based in our Chicago warehouse and showroom, with occasional travel (typically under 30%) for customer installations, service calls, and major industry trade shows.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Prepare machines for shipment to end users.
- Uncrate new machine tools, power up, perform full testing of all machine capabilities, and issue written inspection reports.
- Perform customer demonstrations and operator walkthroughs.
- Provide technical phone support and on-site service as needed to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve machine issues for customers in a timely manner.
- Accurately document service activities, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, saws, etc.)
- Industrial electrical (3-phase) knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with previous industrial machine tool repair/installation experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
