We offer sales and service of high-quality CNC and conventional chip making equipment such as mills, lathes, saws, and grinders. KAAST also offers a complete line of fabricating equipment including press brakes, shears, angle and plate rolls, plasma and waterjet systems.
We are looking for a hands-on skilled Machine Tool Service Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of machine tools to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience working with electrical and mechanical systems.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Prepare machines for shipment to end users.
- Uncrate new machine tools, power up, perform full testing of all machine capabilities, and issue written inspection reports.
- Perform customer demonstrations and operator walkthroughs.
- Provide technical phone support and on-site service as needed to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve machine issues for customers in a timely manner.
- Document service activities, repairs, and maintenance procedures accurately.
Skills
- Industrial machine tool installation and repair experience.
- Hands on experience with lathes, mills, etc.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Industrial electrical (3 ph) experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail .
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
This career position requires travel but is primarily based in our warehouse/showroom. We do attend IMTS, Fabtech, and other industry tradeshows, occasionally requiring techs to travel a few times a year; and we do provide installation across the country for large machines. In general, typically our service department travels less than 50% of the time.
The majority of our customer interactions are phone based. In order to assist customers in troubleshooting equipment it is required to have the ability to communicate clearly over the phone.
Pay: Competitive pay based on skills and experience.
