Duties
- Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medications as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for pets by ensuring proper hygiene and sanitation.
- Monitor the health and behavior of pets, reporting any concerns to the owners.
- Engage in playtime and exercise activities to promote physical and mental well-being.
- Follow specific instructions from pet owners regarding care routines and preferences.
- Handle pets of various sizes and temperaments with confidence and skill.
- Perform basic grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing when required.
- Maintain accurate records of pet care activities, including feeding schedules and any observations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pet Sitter or in roles such as Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Technician, or Kennel Attendant is preferred.
- Strong skills in animal handling and restraint to ensure the safety of both the sitter and the pets.
- Familiarity with pet care practices, including knowledge of dietary needs and common health issues.
- Ability to lift heavy animals when necessary, demonstrating physical capability for the role.
- A background in pet sitting or related fields is highly desirable but not mandatory; a passion for animal welfare is essential.
