Duties
- Collect and dispose of animal waste from designated outdoor areas using appropriate tools and safety procedures
- Assist with lawn care tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging to maintain tidy landscapes
- Support landscape maintenance activities including planting, pruning, and watering plants or trees
- Operate hand tools and power equipment like shovels, rakes, leaf blowers, and small excavators to perform various outdoor tasks
- Help with snow plowing during winter months to ensure pathways remain accessible and safe
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by removing debris and ensuring equipment is stored properly
- Support general landscaping projects such as installing hardscape features or irrigation systems as needed
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in outdoor maintenance
- Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is preferred
- Ability to operate small machinery such as excavators or snow plows is a plus
- Knowledge of horticulture, tree care, or tree trimming techniques is advantageous
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety guidelines and work efficiently outdoors in various weather conditions
- Willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping, irrigation systems, or hardscape installation
- Prior experience with construction or landscaping projects is beneficial but not required
