About the Role
K9 Poop Swoop is hiring a Tuesday-only technician to provide residential dog waste removal services across Coos Bay, North Bend, and Charleston. This is a solo, outdoor, physically active role ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, likes dogs, and prefers routine-driven work.
Responsibilities
- Scoop dog waste from residential yards using a systematic grid pattern
- Complete 10-20 yards per Tuesday following an assigned route
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle for transporting supplies
- Interact courteously with clients when approached during service
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round
Requirements
- Must have experience with dogs and be comfortable with dogs of all sizes
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions including rain and cold
- Physically fit — able to walk, bend, lift, and work actively for several hours
- Clean driving record (4 years) and clean criminal background
- Own a clean vehicle with adequate cargo space for supplies (we do not provide the vehicle)
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to thoroughness
- Comfortable working independently for extended periods
- Friendly and personable when interacting with clients
Compensation & Schedule
- Paid per yard (hourly equivalent of $20-30/hour based on pace)
- Will earn $100-200 per Tuesday
- Flexible pacing within the workday — lunch breaks welcome
- Independent contractor position
