Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, and monitoring their health and behavior
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to prevent injury or stress
- Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization
- Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and basic hygiene maintenance
- Support veterinary staff by observing animals during examinations or treatments and assisting with animal restraint when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized kennel environment by disinfecting surfaces and managing waste effectively
- Offer pet sitting services for clients’ animals, ensuring they receive attentive care during their stay
Requirements
- Prior experience with animal handling, kennel work, or pet care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with animals
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Experience with pet grooming, veterinary assistance, or animal restraint techniques is advantageous
