Director of Product Marketing

Our client (a major international wholesaler/manufacture in the Building Materials Industry) is looking for a Director of Product Marketing to add to their team.

Scope: Focusing on product marketing placement and innovation strategies by working with engineering to develop new products and then bring them to market.

Reports to: General Manager

Direct Reports: Product Engineers, Brand Managers, and Marketing team.

MUST have experience bringing a building material physical product from concept through commercial launch.

Required Overnight Travel: 20%

**Note, this is a 100% in office position, in Edison, when not traveling

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities for new products.
• Help develop and prioritize the company's new product pipeline.
• Develop timeline of new products from concept through launch.
• Keep informed of competitive products, technologies, pricing, and market trends.
• Lead, develop, and mentor Product Engineer and Marketing Team.
• Establish the overall marketing strategy, priorities, annual plan, and budget.
• Partner closely with Sales to develop product marketing placement.
• Develop product positioning and marketing materials and sales tools.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field preferred.
• 6 years building materials product marketing experience.
• 5 years progressive marketing experience.
• Demonstrated experience bringing physical products from concept through commercial launch.
• 4 years experience developing and leading a team.
