Job Description
Opportunity for an Architectural Designer with minimum of 3 years experience; your prime responsibility will be the development, production, and delivery of Design Documents, working drawings, specifications, and contract documents for a wide variety of projects. This role will require the ability to multitask on 2 or more projects at the same time, and coordinate with in-house team members and external consultants. The ideal candidate should have a strong set of fundamental architectural skills and techniques to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas for each project. You shall coordinate and work closely with a project manager as each job requires and provide ideas and opinions on design problems. This role requires a professional with remarkable integrity, reliability, and the tenacity to get results on behalf of our clients. POSITION
Responsibilities include:
- Report to Project Manager, Principals and directly interact with K4 design team members, K4 construction team members and clients.
- Ability to work with a variety of subcontractors with responsibilities for the design phases of K4 Architecture Design projects. Working on commercial, financial, retail, medical, educational, multi-family, and public work projects.
- Contribute to each phase of research and design process, including site verification, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Code analysis for new projects
- Coordinate project requirements with clients for planning and design of facilities.
- Ability to accurately convey design intent on construction documents, including incorporation of all building components, systems, etc.
- Provide coordination with engineering consultants during construction documentation phase.
- Coordinate project requirements with clients for planning and design of facilities.
- Participate in material research and creation of project specifications.
- Permitting new projects with associated jurisdictions.
- Coordinate contractor bidding phase, including creating a bid analysis for clients and aiding with qualifying bids for new projects.
- Assist with construction administration phase, including reviewing submittals, addressing RFIs and participating in final punch list phase of project.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor or Masters in Architecture
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience post-graduation
- Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and systems
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Revit.
- Proficient in all design phases (SD, DD, CD, CA)
- Familiarity with building construction, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with clients, internal team members, and contractors.
