K2 is seeking Licensed Nurse Practitioners (LPNs), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Firefighters, and Paramedics for Overnight and Weekend support to support our clinic out of The Villages, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the insertion and maintenance of the IV line as well as the care of the patient receiving the therapy
- Establish IV access
- Administer investigation product
- Monitor patient, ensure patient safety
- Support all nurse functions of the Infusion suite, including being readily available to address patient concerns and needs during their stay
- Assist PI and Clinical Research Coordinators in trial related procedures such as lumber punctures, lab collections, EKG’s and more
- Assess patient’s tolerance to IP, ensuring the absence of infusion reactions
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner
- Adhere to Good Clinical Practices (GCP)
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Paramedic or Firefighter in the state of Florida.
- Demonstrated experience in a clinical setting, with a strong preference for experience in clinical research or a related field.
