Job Summary

K2 Industrial Services is hiring CDL Class A and Class B Drivers / Operators in Allen Park, Michigan.

Join K2 as a CDL Driver / Industrial Vacuum Truck Operator and put your commercial driving skills to work in a hands-on industrial environment.

This is a local position - no over-the-road (OTR) driving, and you're home every night.

You'll drive and operate specialized industrial cleaning equipment, including vacuum trucks, tankers, and tractor-trailers, while supporting cleaning and maintenance projects at refineries, power plants, manufacturing facilities, and other industrial sites.

No previous industrial cleaning experience is required. K2 provides hands-on training to help you learn specialized equipment operation, industrial cleaning techniques, and safe work practices. This is a great opportunity for CDL drivers who enjoy working with equipment, being part of a team, and building skills beyond traditional truck driving.

What You'll Do

• Drive and operate a variety of commercial vehicles and specialized industrial equipment, including vacuum trucks, tankers, and tractor-trailers
• Transport and operate equipment at refineries, power plants, manufacturing facilities, and other industrial sites
• Perform industrial cleaning and support maintenance projects using specialized vacuum and cleaning equipment
• Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of industrial cleaning equipment
• Work alongside industrial cleaning crews to safely and efficiently complete projects
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle safety
• Follow DOT regulations, company driving policies, and site-specific safety procedures
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in safe, clean, and working condition
• Work extended hours and overtime as needed to meet project schedules

What We're Looking For

We're looking for dependable CDL drivers who take pride in safe driving, enjoy hands-on work, and are interested in learning specialized equipment operation.

• Valid CDL Class A or Class B license
• Tanker and Air Brake endorsements
• Willingness to obtain a Hazmat endorsement
• Ability to successfully complete a driving evaluation, including operating a manual transmission (stick shift)
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Ability to work well with a team and follow instructions
• Willingness to perform physical, hands-on industrial work
• Flexibility to work overtime when needed
• Commitment to safe driving and following safety procedures

TrainingAdvancement

Previous industrial cleaning experience is not required. We will train you.

PhysicalWork Environment

• This is a hands-on driving and equipment operation position that involves working both inside and outside industrial facilities.
• Employees may be required to:
• Drive commercial vehicles and operate specialized industrial equipment
• Stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Handle hoses, equipment, and materials
• Work around industrial machinery, water, dirt, dust, noise, and varying temperatures
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Work at industrial sites and follow site-specific safety requirements
• Work extended hours and overtime based on project needs
