iteach is a competency-based educator preparation program helping to fill the void the nation faces with the unprecedented teacher shortage. iteach offers state-approved educator preparation programs in multiple states, enabling recent graduates, career changers, paraprofessionals, substitute teachers, and others to earn their educator licensure through an affordable, flexible, and fully online pathway. Notably, iteach was the first educator preparation program outside of an institution of higher education to earn accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

Employment Type
The Instructor role within K12 Coalition’s corporate Academics/ Curriculum & Instruction team supports the work of the iteach division by providing instructional feedback, guidance, and course-level support to educator candidates pursuing teacher certification.
As an Instructor, you play a direct role in candidate success by evaluating coursework, providing meaningful and rubric-aligned feedback, and responding to candidate questions within our learning management system. Your work helps ensure consistency, quality, and alignment across iteach courses while supporting adult learners as they progress through a competency-based educator preparation program.
Instructors collaborate closely with fellow Instructors and report to an assigned Instructor Lead. In addition to instructional responsibilities, Instructors may contribute to ongoing course refinement and curriculum development efforts as the iteach program evolves in response to research, accreditation standards, and emerging technologies.

As an Instructor, you play a direct role in candidate success by evaluating coursework, providing meaningful and rubric-aligned feedback, and responding to candidate questions within our learning management system. What You’ll Do
Instructional Grading and Feedback
- Grade and return submitted assignments within four business days of receipt.
- Provide rubric-aligned, constructive feedback on all graded assignments, including at least two authentic comments specific to the candidate’s submission and one suggestion or resource to extend learning.
- Maintain grading efficiency rates aligned with established pacing expectations.
- Provide responsive academic support to candidates, including interventions and additional guidance when needed.
- Allow additional quiz or assignment attempts when appropriate and aligned with program guidelines.
- Support candidate progress through timely, clear communication and instructional guidance.
- Monitor and respond to course-related email correspondence within 24 to 48 hours.
- Address curriculum-related questions and escalate technical or course issues to the appropriate department or team member when needed.
- Communicate course-level concerns such as broken links, quiz resets, or learning management system issues to the Director or Coordinator of Curriculum and Instruction.
- Participate in periodic professional learning communities, meetings, trainings, and conferences to support instructional consistency and continuous learning.
- Complete assigned training related to instructional practices, systems, and program updates.
- Collaborate with the broader instructor community to share insights and support candidate learning.
- Participate in periodic performance and contract reviews with the assigned personnel manager.
- Self-report hours worked and task categories accurately within the HR system.
- Support the team with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to help meet evolving organizational goals and objectives.
- At least five years of successful K–12 teaching experience.
- Current teacher certification.
- Master’s degree or higher.
- Subject matter expertise in the assigned course area, demonstrated through degree, certification, or professional experience.
- Experience supporting adult learners.
- Knowledge of and experience with digital learning environments and tools.
- Current or recent experience in a K–12 instructional setting.
- Experience mentoring or leading adults in K–12 or post-secondary environments, such as serving as a team lead, administrator, instructional coach, or college instructor.
