What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiver position at K-VA-T Food Stores Inc?
Essential Job Functions:
- Check in all vendors in the receiving area.
- Scan or key in all product brought into the store.
- Discover and refuse unauthorized items delivered to the store.
- Control all traffic in and out of the rear area of the store and restrict all unauthorized personnel.
- Complete and maintain all forms required by company management.
- Responsible for all paperwork such as invoices and credits.
- Secure receiving equipment against unauthorized use.
- Responsible for markdown and/or reclaim of damaged/spoiled merchandise in accordance with company policy and all local, state and federal laws.
- Require vendors to sign and/or fill out appropriate paperwork.
- Make sure all vendors are aware of the rules, procedures, and methods, which they must follow when delivering product to the store.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
