Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented SMT Machine Operator. This role requires setting up, operating, and maintaining SMT equipment with precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality production standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate automated SMT equipment, including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens.
- Load components and materials into the SMT machine according to the work order and bill of materials.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor machine operation to identify and resolve any issues or potential defects (e.g., misaligned components, solder paste issues).
- Conduct first-piece inspections and quality checks using visual inspection, microscopes, and measurement tools.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs or escalate complex issues to management.
- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation of all work performed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and quality control standards.
- Work collaboratively with the production team, engineers, and quality control personnel.
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Some experience operating SMT pick-and-place machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with SMT processes, component recognition, and proper handling of electronic components.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret work order instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred
- Certification in IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 standards.
- Experience with Yamaha equipment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation.

- Job Type: Full-time 8am-4:30pm
- Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience $20-23
