Key Responsibilities
● Drawing Review & BOQ Extraction: Master P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), Piping Isometric drawings, and equipment layout plans. Accurately extract Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for pipes, valves, fittings, pipe supports, and insulation materials.
● Front-end Scheduling & Spool Procurement: Reverse-engineer procurement timelines for pipe spools, specialty valves, and flanges under turn-key or pre-fabrication subcontracts. Ensure shop fabrication and site delivery line up seamlessly with site construction milestones.
● Specialized Qualification Audits: Strictly audit credentials and continuity records for high-pressure welders, pipefitters, and NDT technicians before mobilization.
● Machinery & Test Rig Inspections: Verify operational conditions, annual inspections, and safety performance of welding machines, PWHT equipment, hydrostatic test pumps, and aerial platforms.
● Execution Plans, Hydrotesting & Briefings: Draft specialized work plans for piping erection, purging, hydro-testing, and confined space entry. Provide clear, down-to-earth technical briefings to field crews and establish mock-up weld standards.
● Fact-based Site Coordination: Maintain transparent and objective tracking of piping fabrication progress, weld repair rates, and pressure test packages, providing accurate reports to project managers and clients.
Qualifi cations
● Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Piping, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
● 3 years of experience in piping installation and field engineering for industrial plants, oil & gas, or commercial MEP projects.
● Proficient in ASME B31.3 / B31.1 piping codes, P&ID reading, and Isometric drawing interpretation.
● Fluent in English and Chinese (bilingual capability required for technical documentation and site communication).
Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
