- Uses power tools to solder, weld, drill, and attach parts
- Makes sure that workstation and equipment are clean and free of hazardous materials
- Assembles product parts by hand
- Determines method of shipment; assembles wooden or cardboard containers or preassembled containers; stamps, stencils or glues identifying information and shipping instructions on crates or containers
- Keeps work area floor clean
- Unloads, organizes, and stocks shipments
- Adheres to all safety guidelines dictation the production and handling of materials in the warehouse
- Ensures that all production deadlines are met
- Reports issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor
- Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft office)
- Transfer product using MRP systems
- Report KPIs
Education
- High school diploma or GED is required or (6) or more months of relevant experience
One or more years of related experience is required.
- Production and Warehouse experience preferred including experience with cross-functional teams.
- Can identify problems or malfunctions with machinery and equipment.
- Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
- Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.
- Is familiar with all factory safety procedures and guidelines.
- Demonstrates ability to use power tools safely and effectively.
- Works efficiently and manages time effectively.
- Intermediate knowledge of SAP and Koerber One WMS systems with the ability to run and create reports on the status of open work and pending Value-Add orders is preferred.
- Possesses physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time.
- Possesses physical dexterity necessary to assemble small and delicate product parts
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Able to lift 100 pounds.
- Able to perform tasks that include lifting, standing, and bending for up to 10 hours daily.
- Standard 40-hour workweek applies; Overtime and weekend hours could be possible
- Working hours will be spent in the warehouse environment
- Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking, and lifting is required on a daily basis
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration.
