Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all activities within the service department to ensure quality service and high productivity.
- Manage department spending and control costs to achieve profitability goals.
- Provide repair quotes for customers and internal departments.
- Monitor and manage workloads, following up on job status as needed.
- Participate in branch meetings to align with company objectives.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop service department staff, including performance management.
- Maintain workflow efficiency and enforce company standards and procedures.
- Oversee scheduling, inventory management, vendor relations, and department P&L.
- Set and strive to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Address customer complaints promptly and in accordance with company guidelines.
- Promote and enforce safety policies, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Two to four years of related management experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the heavy truck market.
- Strong customer service skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Confident and positive attitude.
- Ability to solve problems and think creatively.
