Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all activities within the service department to ensure quality service and high productivity.
  • Manage department spending and control costs to achieve profitability goals.
  • Provide repair quotes for customers and internal departments.
  • Monitor and manage workloads, following up on job status as needed.
  • Participate in branch meetings to align with company objectives.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop service department staff, including performance management.
  • Maintain workflow efficiency and enforce company standards and procedures.
  • Oversee scheduling, inventory management, vendor relations, and department P&L.
  • Set and strive to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Address customer complaints promptly and in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Promote and enforce safety policies, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Two to four years of related management experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the heavy truck market.
  • Strong customer service skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Confident and positive attitude.
  • Ability to solve problems and think creatively.
