Duties

• Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, bread, and other confections following established recipes and standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, and decorating tools safely and efficiently
• Package baked items with care to ensure freshness and presentation quality for retail or catering purposes
• Decorate cakes and pastries with icing, fondant, or other decorative elements to meet customer specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety management protocols and sanitation procedures
• Support food handling processes by following proper hygiene practices and ensuring compliance with health regulations
• Contribute to high-volume production during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards

Requirements

• Previous experience in food production, baking, pastry preparation, or a related culinary field is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment are highly desirable
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards is required
• Ability to perform basic math for measurements, portioning, and recipe scaling accurately
• Strong customer service skills to assist team members and interact professionally with customers when needed
• Experience in cake decorating or catering is a plus but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Ability to work efficiently in high-volume environments while maintaining quality and safety standards

Pay: $12.50 - $14.50 per hour
