Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers warmly, addressing their collision repair needs with empathy and urgency.
- Assess vehicle damage to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
- Prepare precise estimates, detailing necessary parts and labor, using standard guideline manuals.
- Ensure timely parts availability by following up on orders.
- Clearly explain the repair process to customers and provide regular status updates.
- Assist customers with rental arrangements and necessary paperwork.
- Inquire about any additional work customers might want.
- Review and adjust estimates and supplements for time allowances.
- Oversee the quality check of completed jobs and assist in final billing preparation.
- Support Collision Center management in their various responsibilities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a professional appearance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Collision Repair Estimator or a combination of equivalent education and relevant industry experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong working knowledge of collision estimating software, including CCC ONE and Mitchell, with the ability to write complete and accurate repair estimates.
- Current I-CAR certification (or the ability to obtain/maintain certification) is required.
- Experience working with DRPs is required, including managing insurance company guidelines, approvals, and repair processes.
- Previous dealership or high-volume collision center experience is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple repair files simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
