Role Description The Hairstylist is a full-time, on-site role based at K-MaRiy Beauty Shop in Flint, MI. In this role, the Hairstylist provides a variety of hair services, including cutting, styling, coloring, and treatments, tailored to client needs and preferences. Daily responsibilities include consulting with clients, recommending appropriate styles and products, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and following health and safety standards. The Hairstylist also supports a positive client experience by managing appointment times, handling basic client inquiries, and collaborating with team members to ensure smooth salon operations.

Qualifications

• Strong Hair Styling skills with experience in cutting, coloring, and finishing techniques
• Knowledge of Cosmetology principles and current trends; valid cosmetology license as required by Michigan regulations
• Solid understanding of Hair Care practices, including product selection and treatment for different hair types and conditions
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills with a focus on client satisfaction and repeat business
• Effective Communication skills to conduct consultations, explain services, and provide aftercare guidance
• Ability to stand for extended periods and manage a consistent appointment schedule
• Previous salon or barbershop experience is preferred
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional, inclusive approach to working with all clients
