Position Summary

Operate and maintain CNC equipment. As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints and performing quality checks on the final product. You may also be required to maintain tooling/inserts during the manufacturing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate CNC multi-turret lathes and related production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts according to production requirements.
• Monitor machine performance and make minor offsets or adjustments as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, and other inspection tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, routers, and process documentation.
• Replace tooling and maintain proper coolant and lubrication levels.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED preferred.

· Minimum of 1–3 years of CNC lathe operating experience preferred.

· Experience with multi-turret CNC lathes strongly preferred.

· Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T concepts.

· Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.

· Basic understanding of CNC controls and machine offsets.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

· Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.

· Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.

· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise, oils, and coolants.
