Maintenance Installer

Job Summary:

The MAINTENANCE/INSTALLER works under the direction of the Director of Real Estate & Facilities and reports to the Regional Facilities Manager. This position travels to our warehouses across the mid-west, south central, and New England states. Our team of installers assist with setting up new warehouses, changing existing racking, moving product, security items, and racking installation and teardowns. Maintenance consists of building repairs, plumbing, electrical, wall repair, etc. When not traveling, this position completes maintenance items.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assemble and install racking according to warehouse layout.
2. Disassemble old racking; sort, bind and store by dimensions.
3. Move and make changes to existing racking.
4. Measure, outline and paint truck and farm area according to layout.
5. Move product to new racking, according to new layout charting. 
6. Install signs and labels to bins, dock doors, etc.
7. Visit and work with locations on special projects. 
8. Responsible for working safely at all times and following safety rules.
9. Cross train with the Security Department running cables, hanging camera’s, door contacts, etc.
10. Work with and train temps or other employees assisting.
11.  Responsible for making sure repairs and maintenance of buildings and office are completed as scheduled.
12. Responsible for maintaining supply inventory in an organized manner.
13. Responsible for always working safely and in a professional manner. 
14. Support management decisions and company goals.
15. Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.
16. Support company goals and uphold K&M Values.

Job Requirements:

1. Must possess a friendly and helpful attitude.
2. Ability to work in a multi-tasking, professional environment.
3. Must pay close attention to details.
4. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. continuously.
5. Must have a valid driver’s license.
6. Must be 21 or older.
7. Must be willing to travel. May need to travel for several weeks or even several months in a row.
8. Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled.
9. Ability to operate and be certified on pickers and forklifts.
10. Must have the ability to adapt with change.
11. Must have mechanical skills and knowledge.
12. Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively.
13. Ability to work independently as well as on a team. 
14. Ability to communicate and express ideas effectively.
15. Must be able to perform carpentry work, painting, plumbing, etc.
16. Possess a friendly, helpful, positive attitude.
17. Must be able to climb a ladder, stoop, bend, and be in physical shape. 
18. Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time. 

Maintenance/Installer Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lead/train incoming team members
• 5 years of maintenance experience
