Job description
Looking for people good with computers, love technology, and especially enjoy working with mobile phones. You will test pre-production mobile devices for voice quality, call performance, data performance, battery performance, and video performance under live network conditions. This is an outdoor, field test position and devices are tested at both stationary locations and specific drive routes using proprietary software testing tools. Testing Technicians spend 85% of their test time inside a company owned vehicle, or rental car, or in rare cases your personal car and we compensate for usage if necessary.
We train all our people on using specialized mobile phone collection software on the latest model phones.
This work is expected to be 8 hours a day and no more than 40 hours per week. We anticipate people working 85% of the time 9-5pm Monday through Friday except for occasional slow times.
This is a W2 contract position.
$25/hour Starting pay Medical/Vision/Dental Benefits.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform wireless device field testing per established test plans: Voice Quality, Call Performance, Data Performance, Battery Performance, and Video Performance.
- Troubleshoot device related issues on site as required. This may be a phone lock up or other error condition.
- Monitor the real-time performance of the testing, ensuring data collected is accurate and the test runs smoothly.
- Review test results for accuracy and quality.
- Collect logs using diagnostic tools such as QXDM when needed. We will provide training on this process.
- Responsible for maintaining the company vehicle or rental car. There is NO Smoking in any vehicle.
- Must be able to follow complex test procedures in various formats.
Requirements:
- Wireless Testing/Phone Testing Background
- No degree is required, but excellent computer skills are beneficial and our mobile phone testing software favors technical ability.
- Any experience trouble shooting computers and mobile phones is beneficial.
- Experience with different mobile operating systems such as Android and iOS.
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Must have and excellent driving record and personal references.
Preferred:
- Experience with QXDM.
- Experience with NOMAD.
