Floral Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and talented Floral Designer to join our team. As a Floral Designer, you will be responsible for creating beautiful and unique floral arrangements for special occasions, events, and everyday customers. This is a dynamic and creative role that requires a passion for flowers, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

- Design and arrange flowers and other materials for special occasions and events
- Create custom floral arrangements for customers based on their preferences and budgets
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the floral area and cash register
- Manage inventory and restock as needed
- Handle cash and operate a cash register efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and techniques in floral design
- Manage retail math and make accurate calculations
- Sell and promote floral arrangements and other products to customers
- Organize and maintain the store's stockroom
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced retail environment

Qualifications:

- Experience in floral design or a related field
- Knowledge of floral design techniques and principles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle cash and operate a cash register
- Basic knowledge of retail math and inventory management
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with lawn care and gardening practices
- Passion for flowers and creativity in floral design
