Hiring Import Break Bulk Clerk at San Francisco Branch
K Line Logistics USA Inc., is seeking a qualified individual for an Import Break Bulk Clerk position at our San Francisco Branch located at;
“K” Line Logistics (USA) Inc.

The Air Import and Break Bulk Clerk will be responsible for the following:
SUMMARY
Responsible for the preparation of files, distributions of documents, and collection of funds associated with the breakdown (breakbulk) of import consolidations.
Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):
Assisting Billing and Payments
- Research and identify the custom brokerage of inbound shipments
- Notifies brokers and consignees of the arrival of shipments, distributes documents to brokers and/or consignees. Collects receivables where applicable
- Prepares documents required to move inbound shipments between U.S. ports
- Monitors consolidation transfer times to ensure service levels are maintained
- Reviewing freight rates with carriers and determining the most efficient and cost-effective method of moving freight
- Quoting Freight Rates – FCL/LCL
- Arranging bookings; coordinating freight movement with customers, carriers, agents, and third parties; from port to destination; including pick up, storage, and delivery.
- Preparing and processing documentation according to established procedures and regulations
- Master and House B/L preparation
- Breakbulk Document Transfer to Broker
- Tracking, Trancing and POD Confirmation
- Producing Customer Invoice
The individual in this position must be capable of performing all of the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Lifting boxes, shrink warping skids, is required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Basic English reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to organize, prepare, and assemble documents containing data from various sources.
- Knowledge of office processes, procedures, and technology.
- Knowledge of US Customs Tariff, Fish & Wildlife Service, FDA, and USDA filing requirements.
- Knowledge of Air and Ocean import freight release.
- Computer literate for ABI.
- Working experience with an International Freight Forwarder is preferable
- To demonstrate the ability to increase and secure new freight-related business.
- Required 2 years in Customer Service or Operations, in International Transportation business
- Familiarity with the local marketplace and trends
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Aggressive individual to achieve revenue and sales goals
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Work may require time in the warehouse and/or outdoors.
