Korte & Luitjohan Contractors, Inc. is looking for an experienced Superintendent to join our Marion/Southern Illinois team!
K&L is growing and we’re looking for a new Superintendent to serve the Marion/Southern Illinois region. Our Superintendent will partner with the Project Manager to ensure the successful execution and completion of assigned construction projects. Under the direction and guidance of the General Superintendent, this role provides continuous, hands-on field leadership and is accountable for safety, schedule adherence, cost control, labor and equipment management, quality workmanship, and operational excellence. The Superintendent is the on-site leader and is ultimately responsible for the day-to-day execution of each project while promoting a positive company image and meeting or exceeding owner expectations.
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of construction experience (construction management, project planning, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and safety oversight). A minimum of 3 years of supervisor experience is required (5 years is preferred). Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
This job requires regular travel to project sites (typically within a two-hour radius) and frequent walking, standing, and moving through active construction sites.
We’re looking for someone to provide project leadership, keeping projects in contract compliance, on schedule, within budget and safe. Pay: $62,000 - $135,000 (subject to change)
