Corporate Accountant

Reports To: Controlling & Finance Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and key financial processes including month-end close, tax filings, project accounting, and annual audits. This position requires strong general accounting knowledge, hands-on SAP experience, and experience maintaining Percentage of Completion (POC) reporting for projects.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to work collaboratively within a corporate accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial transactions within SAP.
• Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain Percentage of Completion (POC) reporting for projects, including tracking project financial activity and reporting updates.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Support financial reporting and other accounting projects as assigned.
• Support annual external audits by preparing schedules, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and appropriate financial documentation.
• Work cross-functionally to research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal procedures.
• Assist with process improvements that strengthen accounting accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a corporate or business environment.
• Hands-on SAP experience required.
• Experience with Percentage of Completion (POC) reporting required.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and account reconciliation.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Experience with sales and use tax reporting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
