Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior Database Engineer with strong PostgreSQL expertise to design, administer, and optimize enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in database performance tuning, high availability, backup & recovery, and production support. This role requires close collaboration with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure database platforms.
Must-Have Skills
- 8 years of Database Engineering/DBA experience
- 5 years of hands-on PostgreSQL administration
- PostgreSQL performance tuning and query optimization
- High Availability, Replication, Backup & Recovery
- Strong SQL and PL/pgSQL
- Linux administration
- Scripting (Python or Bash)
- Experience with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform database environments
- Production support and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Kubernetes or Docker
- Terraform or Ansible
- PostgreSQL managed services (AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure Database for PostgreSQL)
