Duties
As a Kitchen Team Member, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and cooking various ingredients.
- Ensuring all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Utilizing kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other culinary tools.
- Supporting the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements when necessary.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Previous experience in food service or a restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with culinary terms and practices is a plus.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
