Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills and a passion for providing guests with an outstanding dining experience. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Aloha POS or Micros POS system.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Monitor guest needs throughout their meal, providing timely assistance as required.
- Process payments accurately through cash handling and cashiering procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are upheld.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Assist with hosting duties when necessary, including seating guests and managing waitlists using OpenTable or similar systems.
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe dining environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and safety regulations within the food industry.
- Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory.
