What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local/Regional Driver position at K & D Transport Inc?
We are seeking two drivers to join our team. It would be a mixture of regional and local runs with flexibility if needed. The home terminal is located in Spring Valley, WI and local runs usually go as far as out Madison, Green Bay or Fargo, for example. Regional runs are in the Midwest (ND, MN, IL, IN, WI, IA). Home every weekend and there is flexibility on scheduling if needed. There is a possibility to bring the truck home as well. Regional drivers are usually home every other night during the week with some Fridays done early.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years class A experience with route driving, loading and unloading, and heavy equipment operation. Must live within 2 hours of Spring Valley, WI.
Responsibilities:- Drive manual or automatic transmission semi with a flat bed or conestoga trailer. Safe Load securement- Follow assigned routes and schedules for deliveries- Ensure timely delivery of materials
Qualifications:- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record- Ability to operate semi truck-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision- Excellent communication skills
