Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hazelnut Farm Production Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of hazelnut cultivation, harvesting, and farm operations. Duties
- Supervise daily farm activities including planting, irrigation, pest management, harvesting, and post-harvest processing
- Manage farm staff by assigning tasks and monitoring performance
- Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, forklifts, and other heavy equipment
- Conduct routine equipment repairs and troubleshooting using welding, power tools, hand tools, and basic mechanical knowledge
- Maintain detailed records and operational reports
- Coordinate with other managers to ensure efficient and effective production
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in agricultural or farm settings with a strong understanding of farm operations.
- Extensive hands-on experience operating agricultural machinery including tractors and harvesters
- Knowledge of mechanical repair techniques such as welding and equipment maintenance to troubleshoot issues efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
- Experience with the hazelnut industry and best practices is important
- Basic math skills for measurements and record keeping are essential for accurate documentation of farm activities
