What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Foreman position at K&D Countertops?
We are seeking an experienced shop foreman and production manager for our stone fabrication shop.
Must have experience leading a shop in scheduling, fabrication, and installation of custom granite/stone countertops.
Must know how to template residential and commercial jobs.
Must know how to understand and read blueprints.
Must have proven experience in stone installation, fabrication, and repairs.
Must have knowledge in operating stone cnc machine, stone saw machine, and knowledge in grit polishing.
Experience: 1 year minimum, foreman/managerial experience at stone shop (required), 3 years experience working at stone fabrication shop
Job Description:
- Supervise shop fabricators, polishers, and install teams
- Operate CNC machine for sink cutouts, cook-top cutouts, etc.
- Organize shop schedule for fabrication
- Constantly check with stations to minimize mistakes and maximize quality
- Meet with installers when they load their jobs, check their paperwork, and materials
- Keep track of maintenance of the machinery and ordering of tools/materials
- Solve problems and come up with solutions effectively
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30am-4:00pm. As well as some Saturdays when needed, to get caught up on jobs.
