Gallery Manager — Santa Fe

K Contemporary is seeking a motivated, polished, and entrepreneurial Gallery Associate to join our Santa Fe gallery team.
This is a sales-focused role for a confident self-starter who enjoys building relationships, generating new business, and connecting collectors with exceptional contemporary art. The ideal candidate is proactive, personable, organized, and comfortable working independently. We are looking for someone who will take ownership of the space, the client experience, and the day-to-day responsibilities of the gallery.
What You'll Do
- Drive sales through client engagement, outreach, and consistent follow-up
- Develop relationships with collectors, advisors, designers, and prospective clients
- Proactively generate new business and sales opportunities
- Build strong knowledge of artists, exhibitions, inventory, and pricing
- Manage daily gallery operations including opening and closing, exhibition outreach (PR/Marketing)
- Anticipate needs, solve problems, and follow through without waiting for direction
- Manage inventory and artwork tracking; assist with packing, shipping, and logistics
- Represent K Contemporary professionally at openings, events, and client gatherings
Who You Are
- Proven sales experience required; gallery, art advisory, luxury retail, or hospitality experience preferred
- A natural relationship-builder who is comfortable asking for the sale
- Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and driven to create opportunities
- A highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable Project Manager
- Comfortable using and maintaining gallery inventory and CMS software systems
- Excellent written and verbal communicator
- Polished, personable, and confident with clients
- Genuinely interested in contemporary art and eager to deepen your knowledge
- Comfortable working independently and taking full ownership of responsibilities
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
