About the Role
K Brew is launching its very first pastry program, and we’re looking for enthusiastic, detail-oriented individuals to join us at the ground level. As a Pastry Cook, you’ll work directly with our Culinary Director and Bakery Manager to produce fresh, high-quality pastries, baked goods, and desserts for all K Brew locations.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who’s dreamed of starting a baking or pastry career. No professional experience is required. If you love working with your hands, and take pride in creating something beautiful and delicious, we’ll provide all the training you need to grow into a skilled pastry professional.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily production of pastries, cookies, breads, tarts, and specialty baked goods for K Brew cafés and special events.
- Learn and follow standardized recipes and pastry techniques with precision.
- Support the team in scaling, mixing, baking, glazing, and finishing a wide range of products.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in all pastry work areas.
- Label, date, and store ingredients and finished products correctly.
- Set up and break down pastry stations before and after production shifts.
- Assist with inventory, prep lists, and ingredient organization.
- Participate in the development of new seasonal pastries and feature items as the program grows.
- Maintain a professional appearance and keep uniforms clean at all times.
- Uphold K Brew’s commitment to consistency, quality, and craftsmanship in every product we make.
Qualifications
- Passion for baking, pastry, and creating food that brings people joy.
- Previous home baking or kitchen experience preferred, but not required — we will train from the ground up.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow professionally.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
