Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator and Cabinet Maker to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling cabinets, operating advanced CNC machinery, Edgebander and other machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, blueprint reading, and materials handling, with the ability to produce high-quality cabinetry and fabricated components in a fast-paced factory environment. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machinery including CNC milling machines and CNC programming tools to produce cabinet components and fabricated parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and manufacturing instructions to ensure accurate production.
- Operate CNC equipment; troubleshoot and adjust programs as needed for optimal performance.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; perform inventory management and packaging of finished products.
- Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to safety standards; perform routine maintenance on machinery.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks involving assembly, fabrication, tooling setup, and finishing processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to shop operations and machinery use.
Experience
- Minor experience operating CNC machine.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, tooling setup and precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, tape measure).
- Background in cabinetry fabrication or woodworking is a plus but not required; relevant factory experience in machining or manufacturing is essential.
- Ability to work safely with hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and materials handling equipment within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations.
