Class A CDL Driver – Local Intermodal | $29–$31/Hour Overtime | Home Daily
Home Every Night No Long Haul Consistent Year-Round Work
K&A Express is an established intermodal trucking company serving the Port of Boston and New England. We are looking for a reliable and experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for a driver who wants consistent local work, competitive pay, and to be home every night. We operate local routes between the Port of Boston, rail yards, and customer locations — no long-haul and no overnight trips.
Pay & Schedule
- $29.00–$31.00 per hour based on experience
- Overtime available after 40 hours
- Typical weekly earnings: $1,300–$1,700 depending on hours worked
- Full-time position
- Home daily – no overnight routes
- Consistent year-round work
What You’ll Do - No Touch Freight
- Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely on local routes
- Transport intermodal containers between the Port of Boston, rail yards, and local customers
- Perform container pickups and deliveries (no touch freight)
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork
- Secure loads properly and follow all safety procedures
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- 2–3 years of Class A driving experience preferred
- TWIC Card required
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass DOT drug screening and background check
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
Intermodal or port experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right driver with strong Class A CDL experience.
