Responsibilities
- Safely rig, lift, move, and position materials, equipment, and loads
- Inspect rigging equipment, slings, chains, hooks, and related hardware before use
- Properly secure loads and communicate with crane and equipment operators
- Use standard hand signals and radio communication when required
- Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and positioning materials
- Follow site-specific safety procedures and OSHA requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work closely with crane operators, supervisors, and other construction personnel
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or damaged equipment
- Perform other general rigging and construction duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a rigger or in construction, industrial, or heavy equipment
- Rigging-related certification
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and moving materials
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA training or construction safety training
- Experience working around cranes, hoists, or heavy equipment
- Experience on industrial, commercial, or large-scale construction projects
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus
