Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine flooring
- Handle trash removal and recycling processes efficiently to promote environmental sustainability
- Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and facilities upkeep as needed
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and floor scrubbers is advantageous
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and efficiently in a part-time schedule
- Previous porter or custodial experience in large facilities or industrial environments is beneficial
