Job Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Parts Counter Representative to be the face of our company. The ideal candidate will not only possess a strong technical understanding of diesel engines but will also embrace and promote our core values in every customer interaction. As a Parts Counter

Representative, you play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers receive accurate and timely assistance in obtaining the right parts for their diesel equipment. With a dedication to honoring commitments, creating positive experiences, fostering lifelong learning, exhibiting a pioneering spirit, and demonstrating good stewardship, you will contribute to our mission of providing top-notch service to our customers.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Honor Commitments

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivering exceptional customer service by greeting customers, assisting in parts selection, answering questions, providing price quotes, and informing customers of companion part requirements and specials in-person and over the phone.
  
  

Create Positive Experiences

• Keeping customers informed on the status of special order and back-ordered parts, and handling customer returns in a professional and courteous manner.
  
  

Foster Lifelong Learning

• Assisting mechanics with acquiring parts, locating and securing parts from various vendors for shop jobs, and staying updated on industry trends and new products.
  
  

Exhibit Pioneering Spirit

• Taking initiative to improve processes, enhance customer experiences, and contribute to the overall success of the parts department.
  
  

Demonstrate Good Stewardship

• Helping to control and maintain inventory, ensuring accuracy in orders and stock levels, and minimizing waste and loss.
  
  

Other Duties As Assigned

• Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required, reflecting our commitment to flexibility and responsiveness in meeting business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of counter experience
• No training completed
• No Business system experience
• Limited customer experience
• High School or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience
• Automotive or truck parts related experience a plus
• Intermediate Computer skills
