The Opportunity (Job Purpose)

Are you ready to make a visible impact? As our next Director of Leasing & Rental is a corporate operational leadership person responsible for managing the backend strategy, asset fleet performance, pricing models, and operational processes for the full-service leasing and rental business units.

This centralized role consolidates fleet maintenance management and rental operations into a single operational center of excellence. The Director owns lease/rental asset procurement specs, rate structures, fleet maintenance integration, and operational systems to maximize asset utilization and bottom-line profitability. We are looking for an energetic, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to grow with us.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, normal business hours of operations.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day (Essential Duties & Responsibilities)

• Pricing & Rate Strategy: Establish and continuously refine corporate pricing guidelines, rental rate cards, and long-term full-service lease rate structures based on market conditions, asset cost, and maintenance history.
• Fleet Utilization & Asset Allocation: Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly rental fleet utilization rates, strategically rebalancing equipment across locations to maximize revenue and meet regional demand.
• Cross-Department Operational Alignment: Manage the operational intersection between the rental/lease fleet and service shop operations, ensuring preventative maintenance schedules, warranty work, and repairs are executed rapidly to minimize unit downtime.
• Lifecycle & Asset Lifecycle Management: Monitor fleet age and total cost of operation, coordinating directly with the Used Truck team to determine optimal timing for retiring and transferring rental/lease units into used truck inventory.
• High-Value Deal Support & Sales Enablement: Function as the corporate expert for regional Enterprise Sales Managers, assisting with complex deal structures, custom lease term calculations, and large fleet rental agreements.
• Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure all lease and rental agreements comply strictly with corporate risk guidelines, liability protections, and maintenance allowance parameters.
• Financial Performance Reporting: Deliver comprehensive monthly operational reports covering fleet yield, downtime metrics, maintenance spend per unit, and contract margin health.
• Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.
• Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business.
  
  

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required. Significant equivalent industry experience will be fully considered in lieu of a formal degree.
• 10 plus years of combined experience in commercial truck rental management, full-service leasing operations, or fleet maintenance leadership.
• Proven experience managing multi-location commercial fleets, rental branch operations, or dealership service/maintenance infrastructure.
• Strong command of fleet asset depreciation, maintenance costing, lease rate calculations, and rental yield metrics, preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of heavy-duty commercial truck components, preventative maintenance protocols, DOT compliance, and warranty processes, preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in dealership Business Management Systems (BMS), rental/leasing management software, and data management tools (Google Workspace/Excel), preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to bridge technical maintenance requirements with regional sales leadership and corporate executive goals, preferred.
