Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and Residential environments, ensuring adherence to local electrical codes and NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association wiring standards).
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults or inefficiencies within complex electrical systems.
- Handle high-voltage electrical wiring safely for industrial applications while following strict electrical safety procedures.
- Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems, including low voltage controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations or repairs efficiently on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and NFPA 70 requirements for safety and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople during construction or renovation projects to deliver seamless electrical solutions.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in Residential and commercial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low voltage systems, and troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes is essential.
- Construction site experience including framing carpentry or handyman skills is preferred for versatility on diverse projects.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and industrial automation is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working on renovation projects or within construction environments will be advantageous.
