Robotic Welding Programmer (FANUC/Automation) β 1st Shift
JWF Industries is seeking an experienced Robotic Welding Programmer to join our team in Johnstown, PA.
This hands-on position is responsible for programming, troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining robotic welding equipment used to fabricate high-quality metal components and weldments that meet manufacturing and customer specifications.
The successful candidate will support robotic welding operations by creating and improving welding programs, developing fixtures and tooling, monitoring production efficiency, and ensuring consistent weld quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Candidates with experience in robotic welding, FANUC programming, welding automation, industrial robotics, MIG welding (GMAW), weld cell programming, fixture design, metal fabrication, and manufacturing automation are encouraged to apply.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:15 PM (On-Site)
Essential Duties
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic welding systems and welding cells.
- Ensure weld quality, consistency, and production efficiency meet customer and manufacturing specifications.
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve robotic welding fixtures and tooling.
- Develop and modify robotic welding programs to improve productivity, throughput, and quality.
- Monitor robotic cell performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Analyze production requirements and implement programming solutions that maximize efficiency.
- Support and guide production personnel in the proper operation of robotic welding equipment.
- Troubleshoot welding, programming, and automation-related issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Create and maintain reports, process documentation, work instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and manufacturing requirements.
Education Level
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of robotic welding programming experience and/or related automation training required.
- Experience working with robotic welding systems in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
- Experience with FANUC, Motoman/Yaskawa, ABB, Lincoln Electric Automation, or similar robotic platforms is highly desired.
- Knowledge of robotic welding processes, weld cell setup, and welding automation technologies.
- Experience with MIG/GMAW welding processes and metal fabrication operations preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, technical procedures, and specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to document processes, prepare reports, and write work instructions and procedure manuals.
- Experience with fixture design, tooling development, and continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to maintain a constant state of focus and mental alertness. The employee is regularly required to stand, use hands (including gripping and grasping), and reach with arms. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. The employee will frequently walk and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment
