What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roofing Sales Representative / Door-to-Door Canvasser position at JWE Remodeling and Roofing?
JWE Remodeling & Roofing LLC is hiring three to five highly motivated Roofing Sales Representatives and Door-to-Door Canvassers to expand our retail and insurance roofing divisions.
This is an active, field-based sales position—not a desk job. Team members will spend most of their workday walking residential neighborhoods, knocking doors, speaking with homeowners, identifying potential roofing opportunities, and scheduling qualified inspections and sales appointments.
We are looking for competitive, dependable people who want an opportunity to earn excellent money and are willing to put in the activity required to succeed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knock a minimum of 100 residential doors per day Work at least five days per week Generate qualified roofing leads and inspection appointments Speak with homeowners about retail roofing and storm-related roof damage Help homeowners understand JWE’s inspection and sales process Consistently follow up with leads and prospective customers Maintain accurate records of doors knocked, conversations, appointments, and follow-ups Attend required sales meetings and training sessions Meet weekly and monthly activity and sales expectations Represent JWE professionally in every neighborhood Follow all applicable solicitation and permitting requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Door-to-door, roofing, construction, home-improvement, or outside-sales experience is preferred but not required Strong communication and people skills Self-motivated, dependable, competitive, and coachable Comfortable approaching and speaking with homeowners Able to handle rejection and continue working with a positive attitude Able to walk and work outdoors for extended periods Willing to learn roofing systems, storm-damage identification, retail sales, and insurance-related roofing procedures Valid driver’s license Reliable transportation Reliable smartphone with calling, texting, and internet access Professional appearance and behavior
