Location: Greater Madison area
Job Type: Full-Time and part time positions available
Rate: $18-$35 an hour depending on skill and experience.
Experience Level: At least 2 years experience in a construction related field
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in rough and finish carpentry as well as other construction related tasks including but not limited to rough and finish carpentry, drywall install and finishing, painting, caulking, siding, roofing, windows, doors, flooring and remodels.
Must be able to work independently or as part of a crew. This role involves a variety of construction and remodeling tasks, requiring precision, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic As well as good customer relations skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform rough and finish carpentry, including but not limited to; framing, trim work, Installation of cabinets, doors, windows, and occasionally flooring.
- Drywall installation, hanging, taping, and finishing.
- Painting, filling nail holes, caulking, and general remodeling tasks.
- Perform demolition work safely and efficiently.
- Operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean job site.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a general carpenter or similar role.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Being on time and being respectful to customers/clients at ALL times
- Following all standards and guidelines for proper jobsite safety
- Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Experience in remodeling and renovation projects.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- OSHA 10 certification or greater
