Key ResponsibilitiesReview bid invitations from general contractors and identify project scope
Perform material and labor take-offs from structural and architectural drawings
Develop and submit bid proposals accurately and on time
Track and prepare change orders as needed throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain close communication with general contractors and internal departments
Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems
Participate in pre-bid meetings when required
5 years of experience in steel estimating and takeoffs (structural and miscellaneous metals)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and structural plans
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be dependable, resourceful, and highly motivated
Competitive hourly rate ($45$55 /hr)
Performance Bonuses based on results
Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement for work-related travel
Stipend for medical coverage
Per diem for travel to project sites
Bi-weekly pay cycle
Stability with a full-time, long-term position
Full-Time: Monday Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Overtime as needed
Hybrid in Connecticut
Some travel to project sites may be required (with per diem)
