Role Description
This is a full-time Mechanical Design Engineer role located in Woodinville, WA. The Mechanical Design Engineer will design and develop circuit breaker retrofit solutions, UL891 Switchboards and other electrical equipment. Responsibilities include creating detailed product designs, developing installation instructions, and utilizing SolidWorks for modeling and documentation. The role also requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, serviceability, installation, and service.
This is a hybrid role. Our office is in Woodinville, WA but the role may need to occasionally travel (locally and regionally) to support on site tasks. Travel is limited to a few days typically.
Qualifications
- Experience in sheet metal design
- Proficiency in Product Design and development across various mechanical systems
- Experienced and proficent in SolidWorks
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience with industrial standards and familiarity with manufacturing processes is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work occasional weekends and after-hours supporting client installations and emergency work
