Job Summary
The Warehouse Production Coordinator assists in maintaining efficient material flow between Receiving, Warehouse Operations, Fulfillment, and Production. The role involves supervising Material Handlers, coordinating raw material staging, supporting production readiness, and ensuring accurate documentation and inventory integrity across all shifts. This position plays a key role in maintaining clean, organized, and properly tagged inventory while supporting continuous improvement of warehouse processes.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation and Reporting
- Pre-populate staging and receiving documentation, including RedZone Receiving Reports and production staging sheets, based on inbound schedules and upcoming production orders.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure specifications match batch records, purchase orders (POs), and production requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation for staging, dispensing, returns, and WIP movement to support audits and traceability.
- Verify that returned materials match system records and physical inventory; escalate discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain an organized system for storing and retrieving receiving, staging, and production-support documents.
- Enter receiving, staging, dispensing, and production-related information accurately into the VO/WMS system and develop familiarity with all warehouse ERP functions.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying documentation gaps and proposing process enhancements.
Inventory Management
- Ensure inventory is clean, organized, and properly tagged according to company standards.
- Quarantine raw materials and components upon receiving; collaborate with Quality Assurance for timely release.
- Label and store components/raw materials in designated locations while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Reconcile quantities received, staged, dispensed, and shipped; investigate discrepancies as needed.
- Coordinate with the Inventory Specialist and Warehouse Lead (Allen) to ensure timely and efficient movement of WIP (supersacks) produced in McKinney.
- Work with the Fulfillment Manager to determine unloading, staging, and placement of finished goods transferred from the Allen facility, including managing aisle access and blocking.
- Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
Production Coordination
- Supervise Material Handlers on 1st and 2nd shift to ensure accurate and timely pulling of raw materials for production.
- Communicate daily with the Weighing and Mixing Manager and Plant Manager to ensure components are staged and ready for current and upcoming production orders.
- Stage raw materials and packaging components according to batch record formulas and production timelines.
- Verify lot numbers, expiration dates, storage conditions, and quantities prior to staging or dispensing.
- Ensure all staged materials match batch record specifications and are delivered to production areas on time.
- Coordinate with the Receiving Coordinator to ensure materials required for upcoming orders are released promptly.
- Assist Receiving when required to support operational flow and cross-training.
Finished Goods and Fulfillment
- Coordinate with the Fulfillment Manager on unloading and staging finished goods transferred from the Allen facility.
- Determine appropriate placement of finished goods and WIP to maintain aisle access and operational flow.
- Assist Fulfillment when requested by management, including staging or moving finished goods.
- Support documentation and verification of finished goods as needed.
Equipment Operation
- Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE), such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and swing lifts, to load, unload, and transport materials efficiently.
- Safely maneuver lifting devices to transport, stack, and store materials within or outside designated areas.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines.
Compliance and Training
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety protocols, SOPs, and cGMP guidelines.
- Assist in training and onboarding new Warehouse Clerks, Material Handlers, and Production Support personnel.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and cooperative demeanor with all departments.
- Support leadership with workflow coordination and operational improvements.
General Duties
- Maintain regular attendance and demonstrate personal responsibility for following safety guidelines.
- Perform cleaning, organization, and housekeeping tasks in warehouse and staging areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, lift, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 250 lbs.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse during all seasons.
- May encounter loud noise levels due to forklifts and trucks.
- Flexibility in scheduling is required to ensure operational success, including day shifts, night shifts, and weekend shifts.

Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in warehousing, production support, or material handling.
Education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Skills
- Ability to follow directions, multitask, prioritize tasks, and adapt to additional responsibilities.
- Strong verbal, written, and listening skills, with the ability to write simple correspondence and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Proficiency in RF scanners, warehouse systems, and MHE.
- Certification in forklift operation and knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
- Ability to learn and utilize WMS/ERP systems (Fulfillment/VO).
