What are the responsibilities and job description for the Locksmith Technician position at JW Lock Co Inc?
We are a well-established lock shop San Gabriel Valley, and we are looking for an experienced candidate to fill full-time position. Most of our business is commercial, with some residential. We perform lock and door hardware installation in the field and customers come into our shop. We do not perform automotive work in the field.
We place importance on quality service and ability to interact with customers, both in a business and residential setting.
Position is full time. Relaxed work environment. Ideal candidate should have 3 years of locksmith or door installation experience.
Duties will include:
- Installation, maintenance and repair of various types of locking devices, including
o Exit devices (electrified and non-electrified)
o Mortise locks
o Cylindrical locks
- Pinning lock cylinders within master key systems and identifying key types
- Troubleshooting door hardware
- Interacting with customers
- Installation of continuous hinges and hollow metal doors
- Standalone keypad installation and programming
Must have:
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record (available upon request)
- Flexibility to adapt to quick paced work environment
