Duties
- Install Strand to proper spec.
- Install fiber in both new build and over-lash situations.
- Installation of fiber optic jumpers.
- Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks and power tools to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas safely.
- Use schematics and technical diagrams to accurately perform cable routing and network infrastructure setup.
- Climb poles or structures safely using climbing gear to install or repair overhead lines and equipment.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to protocols during construction activities involving electrical systems and telecommunication lines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in field service roles within telecommunications or electrical industries.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, power tools, and hand tools efficiently and safely.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to network infrastructure and electrical systems.
- Skilled in climbing poles or structures using appropriate safety gear; previous climbing experience preferred.
- Good physical condition with the ability to perform construction tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Electrical experience or background in electrical work is highly desirable.
